FK season 3 to be released in Germany on DVD - finally

Yay, I just got word that FK's season 3 will finally be released in Germany on DVD on February 8, 2024.

This is the company that re-released seasons 1 and 2 earlier this year. When they were first released, we never got season 3. I had given up hope because season 3 disappeared from the reruns since the pay TV channel who owned it went broke.

Congratulations! Excellent news! Third season has been difficult to come by here, too -- though not nearly as difficult as there! -- so I suspect that there have been copyright and payment reasons swirling around third season for some years.

Unfortunately, there is no "German cut" (or "Canadian cut") of the second or third seasons. There are only "the first-run cut" and "the abridged to fit in more commercials on cable" cut. ;-)

Like Brightknightie, I'm not aware that there is a special German cut. Do you know something we don't? What the German version does have though is Schanke responding on the phone in "Black Buddha part 1" because apparently the German speaker was available while John Kapelos was not.

So it would seem, which is odd. I've seen the dubbed version only once and have it somewhere in poor VHS quality.

Then it was my misconception that, like in the first season (?), the episodes in the German version were longer due to less infomercial breaks. Nonetheless, still happy that they'll release the third season in German after all. :)
