Nigel Bennett appeared in this week's episode of Murdoch Mysteries (Season 13, episode 14), reprising his role as Chief Constable Giles. The plot picks up where it left off in season 9 when he last appeared.

I didn't expect them to bring him back again after season 9, so this was a nice surprise. A little heartbreaking, though, seeing what he's been reduced to.

Yes, indeed. I was a little worried that they might show what he had to endure in prison, but the subtle remarks and the look on his face were far more powerful. I hope they bring him back if there is a 14th season.
