Fandom Stocking 2014/2015

I'm thrilled that we've got 8 requests for Forever Knight this year at fandom_stocking.

And quite a variety of factions: I've seen UF, IB, NN, gen and more.

Stuffing is scheduled through January 5. I'll try to put something into each of these stockings, but I cannot promise that I'll be able to meet the deadline. Might end up with a placeholder and the promise of later delivery in some cases.

I really, really want to play this year's game! But even putting work aside, I must admit that I haven't mailed my paper Christmas cards yet. (Eeek!)

I hope you'll find some quiet time between the holidays.
I see a major issue in finding beta readers for all the stories. I'm reluctant to impose on people at this time of year.

For FK, if your content isn't very "dark," please do call on me, if you don't have others ready. I can't promise that I'll have time, but I will tell you promptly when you ask!

I made a handwritten list of this year's FK and HL requests for myself to carry around and ponder in free moments. Based on content likes/dislikes, it looks like I should be able to write for 3 of the FK requests and 2-3 of the HL requests... if I can find inspiration and time! The other requests wander beyond my scope. If I'm so lucky as to finish the ones definitely inside my scope, I'll keep going onto the ones outside as best I can! :-)

(You're technically "outside," btw. ~grin~ We'll see...)

No one but me requested the original Battlestar Galactica in Fandom Stocking this year, and there wasn't a single BSG78 story in Yuletide, either. That's a little sad, but I hope to see a resurgence next spring, when they release the original series on blu-ray, with "cutting-room floor" footage.

Thanks for offering to beta read. I might call on you if and when I get something finished. Right now I have 1 story finished and with a beta reader and another half finished. And some flitting ideas for a third. Haven't continued anything since before Christmas though as i'm currently too busy meeting friends and family.

That's what I did too. :) For FK that is.

I wish you luck that you may get your original Battlestar galactica story although nobody else requested it. Doesn't mean nobody is going to write it. :) Myself, I've seen it only once decades ago, which doesn't qualify me to write it.
